Indian tablet manufacturer Lava has announced a brand new, entry-level tablet called the Lava Ivory Pop. This tablet will retail for just Rs 6,299 and comes with dual SIM support.

Considering that this is a budget tablet, the low-end specs are understandable. It runs on an Intel Atom 1.2GHz processor (Sofia 3G-R) and features a 7-inch TN display panel with a resolution of 1024×600 (171 ppi). This is backed by 1GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage. A Mali 450 GPU provides the graphical grunt required to drive that display. The battery is a 3,000mAh unit.

In terms of cameras, you get a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera.

Interestingly, the tablet can double as a phone, though putting a 7-inch tablet to your ear is obviously not a comfortable prospect.

Other than the screen, the one downside with this tablet is the fact that it doesn’t support 4G connectivity, which is surprising when you consider that many budget phones these days support 4G.

The tablet is cheap and on paper, seems to be functional enough for the budget-conscious consumer. The 1GHz RAM and the lack of 4G support are significant downsides, but then again, a dual-SIM 7-inch tablet that can also double as a phone and sell for under Rs 7,000 seems like a steal.

Rajnikanth Made This Possible! Malay Version Of ‘Kabali’ Is Different From Hindi, Tamil And Telugu Versions!

You are a ‘Lucky One’ if you got a chance to watch Kabali on the first day itself. There is already a lot of hype surrounding the movie and now, there is one more reason why ‘Kabali’ has made it to the headlines. Every year, there are loads of movies that are released in different languages, but have you ever heard that the ending of the same movie is different in different languages? No!

For Rajnikanth, everything is possible and if you aren’t aware let us tell you that the ending of ‘Kabali’ in it’s Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions is different from that of the Malay version.

Now, in these 3 languages, a very ‘Happy family’ kind of ending is shown. In the Indian version, the screen blacks out with the sound of a bullet shot, leaving the audience suspicious. Audience kept thinking whether it is Kabali or his assailant who is shot dead. On the other hand, the Malay version ended on a different note. Have a look at the tweet;

In the Malay version, the screen blacks out with the caption “Finally Kabali surrendered to the police”. But everyone is confused as to why this type of ending only in the Malay version and not in others. There are several questions that came up; what does that bullet shot mean? Is Kabali dead? Why did he surrender? Has the director Pa Ranjith done this keeping in mind the nature of Malay audience? There was a tweet that suggested that this was due to Malay censorship requirement and has some political reasons attached to it!

While Salman’s fans are celebrating his acquittal from all charges in both Chinkara and Blackbuck poaching cases, there are many people who feel that the decision was biased and was taken just considering the fact that Salman is a big star. Even on Twitter, people left various sarcastic remarks, to show how unjustified the High Court’s decision was.

Renuka Shahane, who had essayed the character of Salman’s loving Bhabhi in the movie ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’ is against this decision too. She has the best response to the entire situation.

Renuka, being a straight-forward actress, has always given her opinions and views in a very witty manner. Remember she had even slammed Salman Khan for his insensitive rape comment? However, this time, she chose Facebook for expressing her views! Have a look at her Facebook post

“In 1998 a Black Buck & 2 Chinkaras (that are endangered species & therefore cannot be killed) were allegedly killed on a hunting trip that included Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Amrita Singh, Tabu & Sonali Bendre. Somehow while the ‘mor’ was ‘naaching’ in their ‘hivdas’ they wanted to shoot some endangered animals. And they did & ate them too. But did they? Out of all only Salman was charged for killing a black buck & a chinkara. He also served time for the same in Jodhpur jail. No charges were framed against the others. The case carried on & on & on as our cases do for two main reasons 1) Having big bucks (sometimes even black bucks….different from the Black Buck who passed) or 2) Not having big bucks. Salman of course falls in the 1st category of big bucks ( I don’t know their colour & we should not be racist by commenting) So now after 18 years he has been acquitted of charges in both cases. Some questions come to mind 1) Who killed the Black Buck & the Chinkaras? 2) Did the driver kill them? 3) Did nobody kill them? 4) Do judges decide according to Buckworth-Lewis method? ( What? Er…it’s Duckworth-Lewis?) Sorry! 4) Who will pay for the mental torture that Salman has had to go through now that he has been declared not guilty? 5) Doesn’t the nation want to know the truth? ( preferably very loudly) What? The nation doesnt want to know? No? Why? Oh you don’t say…..busy spending bucks on Sultan….Er….then let it pass….yeah the Buck, what else? Dear, deer! Surreal!!!”

Opening Weekend Collections Are Out! Rajinikanth Ki Jai Ho!

Kabali is storming the Box Office with its fantastic collections. Released on the 22nd of July, Kabali is well accepted by audiences worldwide. Be it Rajinikanth’s superb acting skills or be it the movie’s superb dialogues, people are loving every angle of the movie. On the 1st day i.e. Friday, the movie broke many records by minting 49.3 crores.
